Xanga

Hello, I am Abella St. Luc and, sorry to admit, I am the character in my creator's novel.  I do not exist other than in the pages of a young writer's book.  I am 18, and live in an imaginary place.  My mother died when I was four, and I have two older sisters, D'Amania and Merliette.  My father is named Pierre.  We used to be quite wealthy, and we lived in a fine house in the city.  Papa was a merchant we had a nice life.  D'Amania and Merliette had silks and trinkets, as well as gentlemen callers, and I had a library full of books, two fine horses, and a bit of garden of my very own.  Then disaster struck.  Papa's ships were lost at sea, and our money was swallowed up.  We sold our belongings and moved to the small village of Arnavon, where Papa trained to become a carpenter and now a blacksmith as well.   He works hard to earn money, and I keep house; we have a tiny cabin with a kitchen and two bedrooms.  Since my sisters sit and complain all day, I do the cooking and the cleaning.  I recently planted a vegetable garden in our yard.  We do have some help, at least.  Papa has a young man, Alain, who comes and helps him, and Apollo, our horse, who is as strong as a draft horse, but the size of a regular mount.  We live near the forest, which everyone says has spirits dwelling in it, but that's just the talk of the simple village people.  Nevertheless, when Papa went to claim the little money we had recieved from the one remaining merchant ship, he ended up somewhere in those woods and found it was haunted.  And that's how this whole story started...
